The line Satoshi put inside the very first block. Now every block mined on this laptop gets its own headline.

Every buy mines a block.

When someone buys $GENESIS, the laptop finds a block: a new hash, a reward, and a fresh headline for the front page.

Every sell orphans one.

Sells knock the newest block off the chain. It goes red and disappears, like an orphan block on a real network.

21 blocks, then it halves.

The reward starts at 50 and halves every 21 blocks: 50, 25, 12.5 and so on. The counter can never pass 21,000,000.
